Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Three?dimensional Mapping and Change Detection Analysis

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones are increasingly being used for three?dimensional (3D) mapping of the environment. This study utilised UAV technology to produce a revised 3D map University Lagos well land cover change detection analysis. A DJI Phantom 4 was collect digital images at flying height 90 m, and 75% fore 65% side overlaps. Ground control points (GCPs) orthophoto rectification were coordinated with Trimble R8 Global Navigation Satellite System. Pix4D Mapper terrain model an ground sampling distance 4.36 cm. The analysis, using 2015 base reference, revealed significant in such increase 16,306.7 m2 buildings between 2019. root mean square error analysis performed 7 GCPs showed horizontal vertical accuracy 0.183 m 0.157 respectively. suggests high level accuracy, which is adequate sustainable cost.
